I'm Taren Lumley, a Research Coordinator in the Center for Philanthropy at The Pittsburgh Foundation.
My journey at The Pittsburgh Foundation began in May 2018 as a Donor Services intern. I was fortunate to transition into a permanent role in August of that year, serving as an administrative assistant in the Center for Philanthropy. Recognized for my work ethic and potential, I was promoted to research coordinator in 2020.
In my role, I conduct research and create custom reports aligned with donors' philanthropic interests to assist them in allocating their charitable dollars to local nonprofit organizations. Additionally, I provide project management and logistical and administrative support to Center for Philanthropy and The Pittsburgh Foundation initiatives and events.
I am a 2018 graduate of Point Park University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sports Arts and Entertainment Management. This unique degree equipped me with a diverse skill set, which I have applied as a research coordinator at The Pittsburgh Foundation.
Originally from Aliquippa, I worked as a public service clerk at B.F. Jones Memorial Library where my love of literature deepened and I developed a passion for information access and literacy.
